Job description

This job posting is for our location in Maryland, USA.

  • Provide support to users in sales, service, administration, and warehousing for questions and issues in Business Central; analyze, document, and track problems

  • Handle occasional on-site IT tasks, including setting up laptops and desktops and troubleshooting printers and peripherals, in coordination with the IT infrastructure team at Headquarter (Switzerland)

  • Document the business processes and requirements of the U.S. organization, clarify them with the line departments, and prioritize them with Business IT at Headquarter (Switzerland)

  • Manage configurations, master data, and authorization requests within the agreed-upon area of responsibility; coordinate changes and approvals with Headquarter (Switzerland)

  • Support testing, implementation, training, and documentation for customizations, releases, and new features

  • Monitor interfaces and data flows to adjacent applications and analyze issues in collaboration with headquarter and external partners

  • Collaborate on digital transformation projects from requirements gathering through implementation and serve as a liaison between local business units and central IT teams

  • Coordinate technical priorities, process changes, and further developments for Business Central with the Business IT team at headuarter

  • Coordinate standards, security requirements, technical changes, and escalations related to the infrastructure environment with the IT infrastructure team at headquarter

  • Document requirements, decisions, issues, and solutions in such a way that local departments and teams at headquarter are all on the same page

Job requirements

  • A degree in business informatics, computer science, or a comparable qualification, with experience working at the intersection of IT and business units 3–6 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or a comparable role

  • Practical experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, preferably in the operation, support, or further development of an ERP system Experience supporting end users in a business environment

  • Ability to collaborate across functions, including with a central IT team across time zones strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network issues

  • Ability to prioritize work tasks and handle multiple assignments with a sense of urgency

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including when communicating with non-IT users

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

  • Basic knowledge of Windows client support, Microsoft 365, and troubleshooting printers and peripheral devices

  • Experience with Azure integrations, Power BI, or the Microsoft Power Platform is a plus

  • Strong customer service orientation with a user-focused mindset

  • Ability to work independently on-site while collaborating with international teams

  • Excellent English skills are required for collaboration with U.S. departments and the international IT team; German is a plus

 

This position is intended to be primarily on-site at the office. Working from home one day a week is possible.
